It’s December 5th, better known as five days after the end of Novel Quest! ✒️
The month was very busy, full of events designed to get you writing and editing. You finished novels. You published short stories. You finished drafts. You started querying agents (or maybe that’s just QG Gwen). We had dozens of people make progress on their writing projects, and your quest guides are so, so proud of you.
After a month of helping set aside time for your novels, your Quest Guides are now seeking help from you. Can you tell us how we did?
This was the first year of IL Novel Quest, part of the greater Novel Quest movement powered by
, a group of ex-MLs looking to build something new after leaving National Novel Writing Month. This year was full of new tools, like our tracker, and new forms of communication, like this substack. Did you like it? What can we improve on? What would you like to see more of?We only have one more event planned for the year - our celebratory party! Subscribers should already have the details in their inbox. But after this, expect us to hibernate. Gwen, Sam, Jenn, and Tim need a bit of recovery time, but come the new year we’ll be reactivating our year-round group (
